Optimus Prime Convoy Leader White Freightliner Cabover Engine Tractor Trailer FLA 8664T. The early versions were near identical to the Diaclone Battle Convoy & came with metal plates in the trailer rather than stickers and it also came with  'swollen' accessories and a grey Roller. The early box also featured an error; the radar dish is visible under the box art and has not been cropped from the underside of the box. Ratchet   Autobot car Nissan Onebox Cherry Vannette Ambulance. Ratchet was initially supposed to be a female character, the name is based on "Nurse Rached" from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". The early versions of Ratchet feature a red cross on the van roof which is also depicted on the box art. This was later removed, potentially at the Red Cross' (international humanitarian aid group) as they are protective of their brand. Wheeljack   Autobot car Based on the Lancia Stratos Turbo which raced in the 1976 FIA Group 5. The livery was initially the red Marlboro (cigarette company). The remaing #598 car (#599 was written off in the race) was repainted in the green Alitalia livery, an Itallian airline company, spelt "Alitalla" on the toy and numbered 539. Skids   Autobot Car Honda City Turbo. Skids was released late 1984 although he was not advertised with the 1984 Autobot cars. There are two different versions of the box, one with a 1984 date and the other with a 1985 date and amended product code. Takara's 2002 reissue of Skids confirms the 1984 release date. 9.95 Gallery
Brawn Gong Minibot Dark green Jeep Wrangler, originally from Takaras Micro Change line. There is evidence to suggest Gears (along with Brawn, Windcharger & Huffer) came from the unreleased Knickerbocker "Mysterians" series and was named Jeepar. There is an "M" moulded on Brawn's bonnet which you could be excused for thinking it stands for "Micro Change" but this same stylised "M" appears on the "Mysterian" figures released by Marchon inc in 1984. Bumblebee Bumble Minibot Based on a Choro-Q (aka Penny Racer) Volkswagen Type-1 (aka VW Beetle), originally from Takaras Micro Change line. A red version was also available in order to bulk up the toy line. The red version was also available in 1985. 2.99 Gallery 1

Megatron   Leader Chromed Walther P-38 pistol with extensions. Based on the gun in the TV Show "The Man From U.N.C.L.E". Early versions maintained the spring firing mechanism but this was removed for later releases. Came with a stock, silencer, scope and infrared laser. Soundwave And Condor Cassette: Buzzsaw   Communications Soundwave comes packaged with Buzzsaw who transforms into a Microcassette which fits inside Soundwave. Buzzsaw is a gold repaint on Laserbeak, this colour scheme was only released in the Transformers series and did not appear in the original Micro Change line. Frenzy & Laserbeak Frenzy & Condor Cassettes Microcassette 2-Pack. Unlike the cartoon, the blue cassette is Frenzy. In the Japanese dub this mistake as corrected and the blue cassette was renamed Frenzy. Laserbeak transforms into a red Condor. Ravage & Rumble Rumble & Jaguar Cassettes Microcassette 2-Pack. Unlike the cartoon, the red cassette is Rumble. In the Japanese dub this mistake was corrected and the red cassette was renamed Rumble. Omega Supreme   Defence base Defence Base & Tank. This is an electronic figure - robot could walk and tank could go round the track. The robot mode head module also flashes a red light. Jetfire   Guardian Macross Valkryie. Early releases had the Macross emblem on the wing. Hasbro acquired the rights from Takatoku Toys, designed by Shoji Kawamori. The designs were bought by Bandai forcing Hasbro to dramatically alter Jetfires cartoon model and rename the character as Skyfire. Jetfire is a redeco of the 1983 1/55 VF-1S Super Valkyrie. Jetfire comes with armour which can attach to the jet mode and robot mode. Also features a GERWALK mode (Ground Effective Reinforcement of Winged Armament with Locomotive Knee-joint). 27.95 Gallery

Blaster Broadcast Communications Red & grey portable stereo. Early versions came with a removable cover on the reverse of the figure which was a left over from the original Microchange mould. Blaster features "working" buttons under the opening cassette door, after pressing the play button you can press stop to spring it back up and the eject button opens the cassette door.
