Most Decepticons chose their allegiance out of ignorance or a simple love of violence. But even before he took the Decepticon path, Soundwave was a hoarder of information. He had access to everything, from deepest secrets of Cybertron history to the private mail of the highest-ranking military officer. The total knowledge of his race was his to command, and yet he chose to follow in the footsteps of the conqueror and tyrant Megatron. No one will ever know why, but for centuries he has obeyed Megatron without question, crushing the Autobot information network, cracking the tightest codes, and - when called upon to do so - unleashing his diminutive servants to wreak brutal havoc among their enemies.
